Train Harder

A long, long time ago, when I was an athlete, I had this drill-sergeant coach that had an answer for everything. You know, Type A, Go!Go!Go! until our insides were on the outside. We trained 90% more than we actually played the stinkin’ game.

Have you had a coach, employer or accountability partner who fits this type? Do you have a negative taste in your mouth about them, or are you thankful they were a part of your background? The first time I reflected on this experience there was an underlining wisdom that hit me like a ton of bricks! Train Harder!

Don’t like your job status? Train Harder!
Need to grow your business? Train Harder!
Want to increase your wealth? Train Harder!
Wish to shed some pounds? Train Harder!

Even if you don’t like the political climate there is a way that “training harder” can give you the tools and knowledge to make a difference and positively impact your community.

Training harder works in just about every aspect of your life. If you train harder you will acquire the wisdom and intellectual stamina that is required to grow your business, climb the corporate ladder or become the best parent you can be. If you train harder there is nothing that can stop you from accomplishing your goals. You will be able to “breakthrough” any crap that stands in your way.

You will become mentally tough. Remember, even if you train harder tomorrow than you did today, you still will face challenges. The difference – you will breakthrough them quicker and easier than you did before – and quicker and easier than your competition. The more you do this, the more confidence you will have. You will grow and develop the tools and knowledge to face the challenges that today seem so impossible to overcome. When this happens your concept of “self” expands, which in turn allows for your hidden abilities to surface. What once seemed as the “best you could be,” is now your new low. Every hour you train harder is the opportunity to grow and raise yourself to new heights.
